it's the hap-happiest time of the year

ya'd think an anti-social/non-practicing gal like myself would despise the holiday season, but i gotta say, i do dig it -- always have.  i like gift-giving (& getting's not so bad), everything looking so festive & people acting more cheery... what's wrong w/ that?  i mean, sure, i don't jive w/ the whole "jesus" angle of christmas (jew or not, the story seems fishy to me) & i don't recite the prayers when lighting the menorah on channukah (i admit, even if i did remember the words, i wouldn't know what they mean b/c i don't speak hebrew) & that may lead some to believe i'm not worthy of celebrating, but to them, i say, "scrooge you."
