rockin' to end poverty in central park

i just got back from the global citizen festival in central park w/ the black keys, foo fighters & neil young.  everyone was excellent.  (though i can't say that for sure about neil young, i'm just assuming b/c we actually left after the foo fighters -- it was getting late for us two ol' ladies.)  i can say the opening acts k'naan & especially, band of horses, were pretty darn snazzy. &  john legend was a pleasant enough surprise singing "imagine."

bonni & i got there at 2pm & hung around in pen 1 till the show started around 4:30pm or so.  the lines for the port-a-potties were insane -- thankfully, we didn't have to go.  the food & merchandise lines, just as crowded -- that we did partake in.  i guess you gotta expect that w/ 60,000 folks.

any old ways, you just gotta love the internet b/c by the time i got home, i found these foo videos from this evening on youtube thanks to user "somerandom90sguy."  i'll check again tomorrow AM for more to share.
