This is a bunch of rambling nothingness that's more for my own amusement than anything else. If you've stumbled upon this blog by accident, I apologize now.
I believe they have ruined it with endless commentary and showing 5 minute home videos and summarizing the background of the contestant before they are shown going through the course. I liked the Japanese version because it was to the point, you got to see many of the contestants. But on NBC you only see a hand full on contestants. This season they act like they are live saying, next week we will be in Miami". Or Last week we were in (one of the locations). Even during the Las Vegas finals they act like they have been there for weeks, or from the 2 stages of the qualifiers. PUT ALL THOSE HOME VIDEOS ON THE INTERNET for the hardcore fans who want to know everything about every contestant. Also they are notorious for starting a series then changing its schedule multiple times through a season which has been done with American Ninja Warrior; this season hasn't finished yet but I don't thing there's been a new episode in 2 weeks.
