college, done.

this photo was taken before i left for my astronomy final this morning at 7:40am. i'm still in shock that i'm done w/ school. i feel like i should be registering for fall classes, not going to commencement (on thursday, june 2nd).

today is "literacy day" at claire's school. all of the kids get to dress-up as characters from books or stories that they like. claire chose "ramona flowers" from "scott pilgrim" -- she's reading the series now.

(as usual, i'm so proud.)

[update, later in the day: claire won "best costume" in her class. very cool.]

[update, 9/8/2012: claire just informed me that it was "best costume" in the entire third grade, not just her class that school year. even cooler.]

it's really happening

just got back from my last astronomy class. this friday's my final. gonna pick-up my cap n' gown after that. commencement's on thursday, june 2nd. then i'm done.

btw, did i mention that i totally rocked the test i was sure i failed... 81. not too shabby. (thank you again, bell curve.)
