thinking of doing a litle early holiday shopping this weekend?

there is a fundraiser for ps 196 going on online... http://www.barnesandnoble.com/ & at the forest hills' barnes & noble this weekend. pretty much what you need to know is the promo code, which is 10604049 -- that's for in-store & online.

a portion of each sale will go towards the project arts program at claire's school, which is in desperate need of funding this year b/c of budget cuts.

please pass this around, too. every little bit helps.

thanks.

this should about be the end of it

how could i not post a tom petty cover?

two mo' foo

i just get such a kick out of folks posting clips from last night's concert on youtube. gotta love it...

about last night

went to see foo fighters w/ my fellow cejwinite steve hudes & we had us a good ol' time, despite having two beers accidentally tossed all over my coat & seat by a group of kids behind us (and yes, i used the word "kids" to describe individuals in their mid-20's. i'm that old.) at least we were standing at the time so i didn't get doused -- that woulda stunk.

btw, special guest appearance by joan jett at the end of the evening made getting home at 1:25am not sting as bad as it should've.

two movie references

throwing-up & having a fever of 102 is no way to go through life. somebody... something... make me feel better, please.

at least i was able to take the putch & her friend gina to the movies earlier this afternoon -- saw "jack & jill" -- before this illness hit me hard. so, i've got that going for me, which is nice.

just hope i shake this before the foo fighters concert on sunday night.

this year's halloween cupcake...

i spent the day at tho's place making 80+ halloween cupcakes for our kids' class parties. we based our design on a photo that tho had on her phone. it was our first time doing ganache & piping, so personally, i think we did a pretty darn good job.
